Carsten Sühlmann
After a brief period at sea, Carsten took over stowage planning for Sloman Neptun Shipping & Transport in Bremen in 2002. As a Supercargo, he was also present on-site at various ports across Europe and North Africa.
In Hamburg, Carsten worked as a stowage planner for Rickmers Linie. After 12 years with the company, he left his position as Head of Cargo Engineering Europe and joined Alberts & Fabel, where he spent five years as a Cargo Surveyor in Northern German ports and Poland.
Most recently, Carsten gained extensive experience in breakbulk and out-of-gauge cargo while working for MSC, the world’s largest container shipping company.
Roland Barow
After his training as Ship Mechanic, Roland studied navigation in Leer. He later sailed for Hapag-Lloyd, Hamburg, and obtained his Masters license. While still at sea, he opened his first company, focusing on cargo securing in all European ports. After growing the business, he retired from sailing and stayed ashore full time.
As his focus shifted more towards the engineering side of the business, he opened RB Maritime & Industrial Solutions GmbH, where he supported his clients with transport planning, survey and consulting.
The latest projects included major wind power and cable transports all over the world, where he was charged with all aspects of the technical planning, always focusing on save and efficient operations.
